Listening to Rokhsan's "I'll Be Your Lady" on MySpace Music

Ideal listening for a grey Saturday afternoon, check out Rokhsan's latest tracks on MySpace:

  • I'll be your lady
  • Soldier
  • Your Time

I first saw Rokhsan singing with local Tooting band Little Things down at the Selkirk, where they were supporting Skinny Machines - the band known as The Brent Flood in their heyday.

While her voice can get a little lost in the Little Things' on-stage melodic anarchy, her solo work gives her the space to do what she does best! One to watch...

Seeing as the MySpace embed doesn't seem to be working, here's a link to listen to Rokhsan on Spotify

Saturday night's gig: The Brent Flood at The Selkirk, Tooting

A great gig from local boys The Brent Flood down at Tooting's best pub - The Selkirk Arms despite severe levels of sweat.

Been there, did that, and yes, I did buy a t-shirt. And went home superhappy...

Tonight: Athlete LIVE at Somerset House

Fingers crossed it doesn't rain!

"Oh, we could be laughing about it,
Making the most of the true British climate..."

Toto: Falling In Between Live

There's more to Toto than Africa. That's the conclusion I've come to having bought the live DVD of their Falling In Between tour. Bloody amazing musicianship.
And to think that what prompted this purchase was Perpetuum Jazzile's version of Africa.

Seriously, you can't get a better *rock* DVD than this for £7. And if you can, I want to hear about it in your comments...
